History First enrollment issued at Detroit, MI, July 3, 1878. Final U.S. enrollment surrendered at Detroit, MI, May 15, 1906, and endorsed \"sold alien.\"
As ALASKA (U.S.); Caught fire and burned at Michigan Central Railroad Depot, Detroit, MI, on May 7, 1889. Apparently did not run again as steamer, 1889-1893. In latter year, converted to schooner barge.
Disposition After having lost much of deck load of lumber in gale, bound from Owen Sound for Windsor, Ontario, put into Tobermory, Ontario, for weather. Caught fire and burned to a total loss there on November 26, 1910.
