As HIBOU: Capsized and foundered during gale on November 21, 1936, off Squaw Point, Georgian Bay; seven lives lost. Accident reportedly caused by improper loading. Vessel raised by Tom Reid (United Towing and Salvage Co., Ltd.), in 1942 and towed to Owen Sound. Towed to Montreal for rebuilding in 1943, still as an undocumented wreck. |
