History | First enrollment issued at Chicago, IL, September 7, 1868.Sunk in collision with steamer B.W. BLANCHARD, May 8, 1873, near upper end of St. Clair Flats; struck on port side about twenty-five feet abaft the stem, and sank in four fathoms water. Raised and towed to Detroit for repairs by tug SATELLITE, about May 15, 1873. Burned inside breakwater, Marquette, MI, on November 17, 1887. Rebuilt as cut-down lumber carrier. |
