History | Ran aground at foot of Bois Blanc Island, Detroit River, on December 10, 1898, with barge AURANIA in tow. Bound from Duluth for Buffalo with cargo of grain. While still aground, caught fire and was scuttled in eighteen feet of water on December 12, 1898. Raised and rebuilt as schooner barge. |
Disposition | Abandoned in 1926. Reportedly served as sand barge for Construction Materials Co. in Chicago area for some time after that. Towed to Grand Haven, MI, and burned on the north side of Harbor Island. |
