History Sold to the U.S. Navy on May 11, 1898; commissioned on June 18, 1898. Served in Cuban waters during Spanish-American War. Transferred to the Asiatic Station in 1900. Redesignated AT-49 in July, 1920. Decommissioned at Cavite, P.I., April 10, 1922; struck from Navy List on August 4, 1930.
Disposition Sold for scrapping at Manila, Philippines, on January 7, 1931. Reportedly reduced to a barge and sunk by the Japanese in the area of Mindanao in December, 1941.
