In tow of tug ROY R. LOVE, encountered heavy seas on October 29, 1965, and broke tow line. Stern section (170 x 50) grounded at Christmas Cove, one mile south of Cathead Point; bow section struck Frankfort, MI, breakwater, and sank just north of harbor entrance. |
