Arrived at Castellon, Spain, in tandem with FERNDALE, on August 3, 1979, for scrapping.As AVONDALE (C 316352): Struck fender boom in Snell Lock, St. Lawrence Seaway, on September 12, 1970, holding up traffic for several hours. Forward accommodations destroyed by fire August 26, 1978, while tied up at Port Colborne. Fire set by vandals. |
