Vessel History

History Built as \"North Sands\" type dry cargo vessel; delivered on April 28, 1942. Purchased by U.S. Government under Hyde Park Agreement of 1941 and immediately bareboat chartered back to the British Ministry of Transport. When returned to U.S. Government, went immediately into lay-up until she was scrapped.
Disposition Scrapped at Mobile, AL, in 1959.
