History Built as \"North Sands\" type cargo vessel and purchased by U.S. Government under Hyde Park Agreement of 1941. Delivered on February 15, 1943, and bareboat chartered to British Ministry of War Transport immediately. Returned to U.S. Government in 1948. Received British registry number, but no American enrollment number.
Disposition Scrapped at Baltimore, MD, in 1959. Arrived at Baltimore on January 16, 1959, for breaking up by Patapsco Steel Co., with steel going to Bethlehem Steel Co.
