History Launched as C1-M-AV1 class cargo vessel for U.S. Maritime Commission. Acquired by U.S. Navy on June 25, 1945 and commissioned on July 14, 1945. Operated in Japan-Philippines area, 1945-February 1, 1946, when she was transferred to the Dept. of Army at Yokohama, Japan. Reacquired by Navy Dept. on July 1, 1950 and redesignated by Military Sea Transportation Service. Continued service in Far East (Japan-South Vietnam, South Korea, Philippines), 1950-1974.
Disposition Sold to Sanoyasu Shoji K.K., who began scrapping at Shodoshima, Japan, in November, 1984.
