Rebuilds Received bow thruster at Fraser-Nelson Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co., Superior, WI, during winter, 1963-1964. Canadian tonnage, 1975 (9086 gross - 6728 registered).
History As ROBERT HOBSON: Ran aground off Duluth, MN, breakwater, November 20, 1948. Then swung starboard side against wall, puncturing hull.Struck dock at Peerless Cement Co., Port Huron, MI, as current caught bow of steamer, in dense fog, May 16, 1972; suffered about $100,000 bow damages.
She ran aground approximately one thousand feet from the dock at Cardinal, Ontario, on May 30, 1983. She was refloated the following day with assistance of the tugs DANIEL MCALLISTER and the SALVAGE MONARCH.
Disposition Delivered to Port Colborne Marine Terminals, Inc., March 28, 1985, for scrapping at Port Colborne, Ontario.
