Grounded at South East Bend, St. Clair River, c.June 25, 1872; released by June 28, 1872.
In collision with propeller CAYUGA, May 10, 1895, three miles off Skillagalee Light, Lake Michigan, sinking the latter, and HURD was beached at Harbor Springs, MI. Raised that summer and towed to Sturgeon Bay, MI, by tug ALFRED P. WRIGHT, then to Manitowoc for repairs.
Disposition Stranded nine miles northwest of Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal, Lake Michigan, September 23, 1913, cargo of crushed stone, Sturgeon Bay for Manistee. Released, towed to Sturgeon Bay; later scuttled off end of old Leathem Smith quarry dock on northwest end of Sturgeon Bay.
