History Placed in service April 29, 1966, from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Atlantic Coast ports.As IMPERIAL ACADIA: Suffered punctured bow and had bow thruster room flooded while in heavy ice 20 miles east of Peckford Island, May 21, 1974.
She was grounded outside Port aux Basques, Newfoundland on June 25, 1982 rupturing her No. 3 starboard tank and spilling 84,000 gallons of diesel oil. Half of the spilled oil was recovered, oil remaining in the tanker was offloaded and she proceeded under her own power to Halifax for repairs.
Disposition Sold for dismantling, 2004.
