History As IMPERIAL ST. CLAIR: Aground in Parry Sound channel of Georgian Bay, December 23, 1976, while battling ice. One of vessel's twenty-four storage tanks ruptured, spilling 42,000 gallons of diesel oil. Part of cargo pumped into ARCTIC TRADER and vessel freed.
