Vessel History

Rebuilds Converted from tanker to dry bulk carrier by E.B. McGee, Ltd., Port Weller, Ontario, in 1954-1955 (601.5 x 68.16 x 31; 12304 gross - 8532 registered).
History Trico Enterprises, Ltd. - Hamilton, Bermuda.As GOLDEN HIND: Ran aground off Cassidy Point, Lake Erie, one mile east of Port Colborne, Ont., on May 15, 1967; released on May 17, 1967.
Ran aground off Robert's Landing, St. Clair River, December 5, 1972; released next day.
Grounded in St. Lawrence above Quebec in June 1979, tearing out part of bottom.
She lost power August 10, 1982 while downbound in the St. Marys River with a load of grain. The vessel was carried over both her anchors and buoy before coming to rest on a mud bank on the Canadian side. Four tugs freed the ship the next day with minor damage to the hull reported.
Disposition Sold foreign, Registry closed 09/86.
