Vessel History

Rebuilds Reconstructed at Fairport, OH, in 1925. Canadian measurements, 1926 (423.66 x 50.16 x 23.75; 4467 gross -3082 registered).
History As R.L. IRELAND: Stranded on Gull Island, Lake Superior, during blizzard, December 7, 1906. Later released, but broke tow line on way to Duluth; one drowned. Finally reached Duluth on December 29, 1906; $90,000 damage.
Disposition Arrived in tow, along with G.G. POST, at Izmiri, Turkey, prior to October 30, 1972 after departing Gibraltar, as port of call, on October 11, 1972, for scrapping. Had departed Quebec at 0800, September 21, 1972, in tow of Polish tug KORAL.
