History As KINGSTON: Burned October 26, 1872, at Grenadier Island, St. Lawrence River.
As BAVARIAN: Burned fifteen miles off Oshawa, Ontario, Lake
Ontario, on November 5, 1873, bound from Hamilton, Ontario, for
Montreal. Twenty lives lost.
As ALGERIAN: Partially burned in 1905.
Disposition After lying idle for long period of time, hull was towed from Kingston, Ontario, out into Lake Ontario in 1928, and dynamited and sunk.
