History | Ashore in blizzard, near Aplena, MI, December 1, 1867. Tug GEORGE E. BROCKWAY arrived in March, 1868, and released her, arriving at Detroit on April 15, 1868. Vessel repaired at Clark's Dry Dock, Detroit; receiving new bottom, wheel, rudder, stringers and decks.Ashore one-quarter mile above Point Abino, Lake Erie, June 8, 1872, with cargo of corn. Raised and taken to Reed's Elevator on June 17, 1872. Ashore, Whitefish Point, Lake Superior, in late fall, 1895; released in spring, 1896. |
