History Acquired by U.S. Navy on April 13, 1942. Commissioned at Key West, FL, on July 3, 1942, and assigned to coastal patrol duty with 6th Naval District, out of Charleston, SC, August 24, 1942. Decommissioned at Charleston, December 3, 1943. Recommissioned on January 22, 1944, and assigned to 4th Naval District, Philadelphia, PA, for experimental work with the Navy Bureau of Ships. Decommissioned at Philadelphia on December 21, 1945 and struck from Navy List on January 24, 1947. Assigned to War Shipping Administration on April 30, 1947, to be sold for scrapping.
Disposition Scrapped in 1947.
