History | Stranded on Shot Point, ten miles east of Marquette, MI, Lake Superior, during heavy northeast gale and blizzard, on December 8, 1927. Crew removed on December 11, by U.S. Coast Guard and tug COLUMBIA. Vessel was upbound light for Fort William, Ontario. Shortly afterwards hull gutted by fire and declared a constructive total loss. Hull removed, partially scrapped, and used as dock at Drummond Island, MI. |
