Caught fire in mid-lake, about fifteen miles off Ripley, NY, Lake Erie, upbound light from Buffalo for Bay City, MI, August 20, 1893. Crew took to boats and vessel drove herself aground about two miles east of North East, PA, a total loss. Boiler and part of hull still visible on beach in 1958. |
