History First enrollment issued at Detroit, MI, August 9, 1882.Final U.S. enrollment surrendered at Duluth, MN, June 29, 1905, and endorsed \"sold foreign.\"
As OSCEOLA: Grounded on Flat Rock Reef, 2 1/2 miles off shore, near Port Austin, MI, Lake Huron, on November 7, 1887, in dense smoke; bound from Duluth for Buffalo with bagged flour. U.S.
Life Saving crew from Grindstone City, MI, took crew off. Tug MERRICK released her on September 18, 1888, after she had been sold by the U.S. Marshall to Henry McMorran, of Port Huron, MI, the month before for $8,250. Hull towed into Sarnia Bay and permitted to settle on October 8, 1888.
Stranded on Mott Island, Lake Superior, on November 22, 1898, and released the following day. Sold Canadian, 1905.
Disposition Stranded on Michipicoten Island, Lake Superior, December 7, 1906, and became a total loss.
