History Left Lakes in November, 1978 for use on saltwater during winter, 1978-1979.As LAWRENDOC: Grounded in Middle Neebish Channel, St. Marys River, on December 5, 1971, en route to Algoma Steel plant at Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.; freed self. Then while approaching the Algoma dock, grounded again, apparently on Vidal Shoals; both times with minimal damage.
Lightered by T.F. NEWMAN, with ATOMIC and TABOGA standing by on November 26, 1973, after running aground on middle ground sandbar across from St. Clair, MI.
