A.M. Carpenter, Master Carpenter.First enrollment issued at Port Huron, MI, April 25, 1895.
Sunk in collision with propeller CITY OF ROME, June 23, 1905, when suction of passing steamer FRANCIS WIDLAR caused LINDEN to sheer in front of former vessel. Both vessels sank. LINDEN lost two crewmen and sank c.1000 feet above Tashmoo Park dock, between San Souci and Grande Pointe, on St. Clair River. Vessel raised in 1908 and rebuilt. |

Burned and sank 1,800 feet southeast of Water Works City Dock, Tawas, MI, on November 28, 1923. Had been waiting for tug since November 22, for tow to Bay City, MI. Crew of fifteen rescued by U.S. Life Saving Station crew at Tawas. Wreck removed by Corps of Engineers in 1941. |
