Rebuilds Converted to self-unloader by American Ship Building Co., Lorain, OH, in 1948 (539.58 x 58.25 x 29.42; 7661 gross - 6476 net).
History As WILLIAM LIVINGSTONE: Struck unknown obstruction 12 miles NW x N of Sand Hills Light, Lake Superior, on May 15, 1923,with only two blades, and breaking one. Towed into Soo by steamer THOMAS WALTERS.
As CRISPIN OGLEBAY: Ran aground in Trenton Channel, Detroit River, September 13, 1970, damaging some bottom plates.
Disposition Removed from documentation in January/February, 1974, sold West German for scrapping. Arrived in tandem tow, with BETHLEHEM, at Santander, Spain, on June 16, 1974, for scrapping.
