History As MACKINAW: Sustained minor damage below stern rail on December 17, 1977, when struck by USCG WESTWIND as working to free latter vessel when she was grounded in St. Marys River.Suffered damage to port propeller shaft in heavy ice in Lake Superior, February 1979; repaired at Bay Shipbuilding, Sturgeon Bay, WI.
Disposition Decommissioned, 2006. Preserved as museum ship at Mackinaw City, MI.
