Disposition | .While downbound with cargo of iron ore, in tow of propeller EDWARD N. BREITUNG, steam steering broke and vessel became unmanageable in trough. She broke in two and sank about nineteen miles west of Long Point, Lake Erie. Crew of seven rescued from small boat by BREITUNG; no lives lost. Loss occurred on August 25, 1917. |
