As IOWA: On July 17, 1913, the SHEBOYGAN (US 115119) rammed the IOWA in the Chicago River, severely holing the later in her starboard bow just forward of the pilot house. Tugs assisted IOWA to the dock where she subsequently sank with no injuries or loss of life. The SHEBOYGAN was only slightly damaged. IOWA was later raised and returned to service.
