History First enrollment issued in Milwaukee, WI, April 14, 1874. Suffered fire at Milwaukee, April 1874, $100 loss. Collided with scow ELLA DOAKE, April 1874, $200 loss. Lost anchors passing through the Straits of Mackinac, $2,500 cost to replace. Collided with schooner J. I. CASE in the Straits of Mackinac, $200 loss. In collision, May 23, 1883. Blown aground by storm off Marquette, MI, May 29, 1895. Served on the East Coast from 1898-1901, then returned to lakes.
Disposition Foundered twelve miles off Michigan Island, Lake Superior, September 13, 1903; crew rescued by towing steamer, VOLUNTEER. Vessel downbound with cargo of iron ore.
