BUFFINGTON; arrived at Bilbao, Spain, on October 22, 1980, for scrapping. Towed to Aviles, Spain, on November 8, 1980, for scrapping. Scrapped by Desguaces y Salvamentos, at San Juan, Gijon, beginning on November 26, 1980. Removed from documentation in August, 1980, as sold Spanish for scrapping.
