History Purchased by U.S. Navy on May 9, 1917; commissioned at New York on December 5, 1917. Departed New York, December 9, 1917, via Charleston and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, arriving at Santo Domingo on December 28, 1917. Ran out of there for Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Cuba for 18 months. Departed Santo Domingo, June 9, 1919, via Charleston, arrived at New York, June 23, 1919. Decommissioned there on July 5, 1919. Sold on December 4, 1919, to W.H. Raab, of Brooklyn, NY.
Disposition Dropped from documentation in April, 1963.
