Rebuilds Navy measures, 1917 (243 x 31.83 x 12.83; 1265 displaced).
History Purchased by U.S. Navy on June 1, 1917; commissioned at Philadelphia, PA, on December 3, 1917. Sailed for Bermuda with French sub chaser in tow, December 19, 1917; departed Bermuda, January 8, 1918, via Azores and Leixos, Portugal, for Brest, France. Served with U.S. Patrol Squadron out of Brest. Arrived back at New York in August, 1919. Decommissioned at New York, February 25, 1921. Fitted out as tender for Naval Governor of Santo Domingo, but was operated by Navy Hydrographic Office, doing survey work in Mexican and Caribbean waters. Arrived back at Norfolk, VA, September 24, 1934. Decommissioned on February 15, 1938, and stricken from Navy Register on May 25, 1938.
Disposition Struck from Navy Register, May 25, 1938; presumed scrapped.
