History Final document surrendered at Buffalo on September 30, 1875, with notation \"Wrecked.\"Vessel was double-decked and carried four masts.
Disposition Vessel caught fire and sank about eight miles southeast of Long Point, Lake Erie, in 25-30 fathoms of water, on August 26, 1875. Propeller EMPIRE STATE poured water on her and towed her about two miles toward Long Point before she was scuttled. Crew rescued by schooner MONTANA.
