Disposition Struck Waverly Shoal, about two miles from Buffalo, on December 9, 1909, while bound for that port with cargo of flax seed. Five Crewmembers put off in small boat and were lost; fourteen others were rescued by steamer WILLIAM A. PAINE. Several unsuccessful salvage attempts were made.
