Vessel History

History Sold to U.S. Navy, Bureau of Equipment, on August 1, 1898, and assigned to Culebra, P.R., 1898-1911. Stationed at Guantanamo, Cuba, 1911-1914. Arrived at Key West, FL, February 25, 1914; converted from water barge to fuel oil barge. On June 11, 1914, stationed at Key West, FL, Naval Station. On July 11, 1919, Board of Survey recommended she was too old for repairs. On February 11, 1920, they recommended she be stripped and hull to be sold as junk. On April 9, 1920, she was ordered to be held at Key West for emergencies until replaced.
Disposition Scrapped in 1948.
