Vessel History

Rebuilds Rebuilt, 1888, Branford, FL (70 x 16.42 x 4.33; 82.77 gross - 50.46 net). Rebuilt in 1928 at Lake Okeechobee; shipped to Dearborn, MI, Greenfield Village, in two pieces. Reconstructed as \"day boat\" at Greenfield Village in 1934. New hull built by Humbug Marine, of Gibraltar, MI, in 1969.
History As SUSIE B.: Abandoned in 1887, with notation \"wrecked by owner.\" As SUWANEE: Abandoned in 1926, then sunk by hurricane in Lake Okeechobee. Raised in 1928 and rebuilt by funds supplied by Henry Ford. During a flood of the lagoon, Greenfield Village, in 1968, hull was \"deposited\" on a dock, necessitating construction of a new hull.
