Participated in Normandy Invasion, June 6, 1944, then operated out of Cherbourg and LeHavre, France, 1944-1945. Served occupation patrol duty from mouth of Weser River to Bremen, 1945-1946. Decommissioned on May 23, 1946, and assigned to Atlantic Reserve Fleet, Green Cove Spring, FL. Assigned name on February 1, 1956. Struck from Navy Register on July 1, 1960 and sold to Venezuelan Navy in October, 1960.
Disposition Scrapped in 1976-1977.
