Rebuilds Canadian measures, 1917 (416 x 50 x 24; 4423 gross - 3248 registered).
History Passed down, Welland Canal, August 11, 1965, under own power, for St. Johns, Newfoundland, and used as grain storage hulk, 1965-1967.As SAXONA: Collided with and sank propeller EUGENE ZIMMERMAN, April 16, 1906, in Mud Lake, St. Marys River.
Stranded on Caribou Island, Lake Superior, in dense fog on May 14, 1907; $20,000 loss.
Collided with propeller PENTECOST MITCHELL, May 14, 1917, off Frying Pan Shoal, Soo River, sinking both vessels. Raised and sold to Canadian buyers.
Disposition Sold to Steel Factors, Ltd., Montreal, P.Q., for scrapping overseas, in fall, 1967. While under tandem tow, with SAUREL, by tug KORAL, foundered in position 39.42N x 30.36W, on January 13, 1968, bound for Vado, Italy.
