Stranded on Caribou Island, Lake Superior, in dense fog on May 14, 1907; $20,000 loss. Collided with propeller PENTECOST MITCHELL, May 14, 1917, off Frying Pan Shoal, Soo River, sinking both vessels. Raised and sold to Canadian buyers. |
Disposition | Sold to Steel Factors, Ltd., Montreal, P.Q., for scrapping overseas, in fall, 1967. While under tandem tow, with SAUREL, by tug KORAL, foundered in position 39.42N x 30.36W, on January 13, 1968, bound for Vado, Italy. |
