History Transferred by U.S. Navy, on loan, to City of New York (Police Dept.), 1920-1928. Had been acquired by U.S. Navy on December 1, 1917 and commissioned on December 12, 1917. Was returned to Navy in 1928 and struck from Navy List on September 27, 1928. Sold on December 24, 1928, to Joseph O'Boyle, of New York, NY. Vessel remained undocumented 1928-1934, when Boyle enrolled her under Gotham Marine Corp. Under this ownership, was managed, 1937-1940, by Nicholson-Universal Steamship Co., Detroit, MI, towing oil barges GOTHAM 84 and GOTHAM 85 on lakes.
Disposition Scrapped by Steel Co. of Canada, Ltd., at Hamilton, Ontario, in 1962-1963.
