History As L.C. SMITH: Struck starboard side just after leaving narrow channel at Sailors' Encampment, St. Marys River, July 29, 1906. Suffered bad leak in cargo hold; lightered 1000 tons of iron ore; released on July 31, and spent two weeks in dry dock for repairs. Had eighteen damaged plates.
Disposition Passed down Welland Canal under own power, October 3, 1961, for Quebec. Arrived in tow, December 13, 1961, at Savona, Italy, for scrapping.
