Sunk by collision with propeller H.A. BERWIND in Mud Lake, St. Marys River, on December 6, 1909, while downbound with iron ore. Raised on May 26, 1910, by Reid Wrecking Co. Collided with propeller JOHN MCCARTNEY KENNEDY in Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior, in fog on October 11, 1923; $5,000 damage. |

Foundered fifteen miles south of Isle Royale Light Station, Lake Superior, on May 11, 1953; seventeen lives lost. Vessel downbound from Superior, WI, with iron ore. Sixteen lives saved by propellers WILFRED SYKES, JOSEPH H. THOMPSON, D.M. CLEMSON, D.G. KERR, WILLIAM E. COREY, and HOCHELAGA. Shipwreck discovered in 2023 by Ken Merryman and Jerry Eliason. |
