Vessel History

Rebuilds Canadian measures, 1929 (382 x 50 x 25.75; 4537 gross - 3350 registered). Fitted with two deck cranes for handling package freight in 1961.
History Used as grain storage hulk at Toronto, Ontario, from spring, 1964, until vessel was scrapped.As RALPH BUDD (U.S.): Stranded on Saltese Point, between Eagle River and Eagle Harbor, MI, Lake Superior, on May 15, 1929; bound from Duluth for Lake Erie with cargo of merchandise, eggs, butter, and poultry. Released on July 8, 1929, by Reid Wrecking Co., of Sarnia, Ontario, and turned over to Sin-Mac Lines, Ltd., of Montreal; $500,000 loss.
Disposition Arrived at Hamilton, Ontario, in tow, on May 5, 1966, for scrapping by United Steel & Metal Co., Ltd.
