Rebuilds Reconstructed and converted to self-unloader by Christy Corp., Sturgeon Bay, WI, winter, 1955-1956 (8233 gross - 6560 net). Was the fastest conversion up to that time. Repowered with new diesel engine at American Ship Building Co., Toledo, OH winter 1967-1968. Bow thruster added, 1988.
History Suffered reduction gear failure, Lake Huron, October 14, 1989, towed to Calcite, MI, for a month of repairs. Collided with bridge abutment, Cleveland, OH, June 1997. Unloading boom damaged by storm at Marblehead, OH, July 2003. Ran aground in Fairport Harbor, OH, shipping channel, April 2, 2004; no damage. Rudder stock damaged after striking a submerged object, Detroit, MI, January 6, 2007.
Disposition Struck wall at Cleveland, OH, November 2007. Arrived at Port Colborne, ON, in the same month for scrapping.
