Rebuilds 1838-39, Chatham, Ontario, by Duncan McGregor (122 x 20 x 7; 122 tons).
History Some sources indicate that she was built in 1832. THAMES was built in Chatham in 1833. On December 4, 1838, during the Canadian revolt, the vessel was burned by "patriots" at Windsor. She was later rebuilt by Duncan McGregor and others at Chatham and renamed KENT.
Disposition Sunk in a collision with the steamer LONDON near Point Pelee, August 12, 1845. Approximately 16 lives lost.
