As CARMI A. THOMPSON: Driven ashore from winter grain fleet lay-up behind the south breakwater, Buffalo, NY, in gale of December 18, 1921. Released on January 5, 1922. When driven ashore, was wedged between steamers LOUIS W. HILL and MORTON E. FARR, suffering damage to 157 plates.As THOROLD: Steering gear failed and vessel rammed a wall in Welland Canal, in late August, 1971. Temporary repairs returned her to service.
Scrapped at Humberstone, Ont., 1972. |

Passed down Welland Canal, December 12, 1971, for Prescott, Ont., with grain. Returned to Welland Canal, upbound on December 17, then grounded temporarily the following day as she entered scrapping berth at Rameys Bend, Humberstone, Ont., for scrapping by Marine Salvage, Ltd. |
