Rebuilds Rebuilt in 1900-1901 by Polson Iron Works, Toronto, Ontario (175 x 35 x 15; 1031 gross - 358 registered).
History As SIR L.S. TILLEY: Caught fire off Fairport, OH, Lake Erie, on August 26, 1899, with schooner MERRITT in tow. Crew abandoned vessel; no lives lost. Hull towed into Fairport and beached by tugs ANNIE and GEORGE R. PAIGE. Later rebuilt at Toronto, Ontario.As ADVANCE: Stranded three miles west of Alexandria Bay, NY, on St. Lawrence River, on November 21, 1923; released the following day.
Disposition Stranded on Manitoulin Island, Lake Huron, on May 12, 1927; dropped from Canadian List of Shipping in 1929.
