History | As the TUSKER: Received damage to Kort steering nozzle by A.S. GLOSSBRENNER when the Clarence Street Bridge failed to open at Port Colborne. Towed to Kingston by the tug BOGOTVILLE for repairs, arriving there on September 26, 1981. Correction: The second vessel involved in the above incident was not the A.S. GLOSSBRENNER, but the ALGOCEN. Also, the Clarence Street bridge was not involved. She encountered many mechanical problems, including the dismantling of her main engines, when contaminated lubricating oil was discovered in her main engines on February 26, 1982 at St. Catharines. |
