Cut in half and rolled on side for transit through St. Lawrence canals in winter, 1918-1919, by Lake Shipbuilding Co., Buffalo, NY. Prior to being joined at Montreal, W.W. I ended; two sections returned to Ashtabula, OH, where vessel was rejoined and lengthened by Great Lakes Engineering Works, in 1919 (542.33 x 50.16 x 28.58; 6874 gross - 5288 net). (See Memo) |
