As RALPH H. WATSON: In early June, 1971, struck end of Mesabi No. 5 ore dock, Duluth, MN. Repairs made by Fraser Ship Yards, Superior, WI.On May 6, 1975, while unloading at Conneaut, leg and bucket of No. 2 Hulett gave and fell into cargo hold. A crane was rigged to remove the leg and bucket, and WATSON received a nine by twelve foot patch on port sidetank and cleared Conneaut on May 8.
Grounded in Lake St. Clair, at Buoy 7, on June 28, 1978. Released on June 30 after assisted by tugs BARBARA ANN and MAINE. |
