History
First enrollment issued at Cleveland, OH, June 17, 1856.There appears to have been some confusion as to the spelling of the vessel's name. Her initial enrollment lists her as \"JOHN WEBER,\" but her second enrollment (Cleveland, September 11, 1857) gives her name as \"JOHN WEBBER.\" This confusion continued throughout her career without clear resolution. |
Disposition
Scuttled in Escanaba, MI, after springing a leak, October 6, 1875, and became a total loss. Final enrollment surrendered at Buffalo, NY, on September 30, 1876, and endorsed \"Vessel Wrecked.\" |
